MOM look!!!

Case ran up to me saying mom look I can put my entire hand into my mouth. Silly

Tommy, dinner

I do dress my children!!! promise!!! So I hate high chairs. They are so bulky and take up so much room and it is just one more thing to clean AND the baby isn't sitting with the family. So I improvised....I didn't want to spend tones of money on the fancy chairs that connect to the dinner table so we just have him sit on the potty chair at the table. Crazy, I know but it works. Occasionally I get funny looks from friends that come over wondering why we have a potty chair at our dinner table. These pictures of Tommy are him being silly at dinner time trying to avoid eating what I made. :)

Holiday sleep overs

So I am not much into sleep overs because it seems that is the time most trouble occurs, nevertheless, it is different with family. Case stayed the night at Carsens on Friday and Carsen stayed the night at our house on Sunday. They played and stayed up all night. I don't know how they have so much energy! It would be nice to live by one of my siblings so that our kids could play like this!

Land scaping

Being as this is our first house we get to do our own landscaping. It is fun but a lot of work. When we bought the house that back yard was just a bunch of dirt and bugs. We are slowly transforming it into something of beauty. This Presidents day holiday Tom and I shovelled and wheel barrel 10 tons of rock to the back yard. It ended up being 38 wheel barrels full, and we have one of the huge two wheeled barrels. The kids tried to help with their sand shovels. Carsen, Toms brother Rob's son, was over helping aka playing. :)

Sporting the Mary Kay Shoes

So at Challice's wedding I inherited some awesome sequin pink shoes that my sister Ari had to wear at a friends wedding. I am really enjoying wearing them!!! I call them my Mary Kay shoes.

Piano Tommy

So Tommy sees me practice the piano and often he climbs up onto the bench and starts plunking out his own notes because that is what he sees his mom do. While he practices he occasionally will turn the page of music as if he is really reading the music.

Piano

Here is my boys bringing me much joy.

Healthy Life

So me and Tom (when I say that I mean, I decided and I make Tom do it to, with love of course) decided to make small health changes in our life so that we can slowly make our life more healthy. We all know that being healthy and in shape is a LIFESTYLE, so no temporary diets for me. I am making changes!!! So my latest permanent change is to no longer have dressing with my salads. Instead I moisten it up with olive oil, which is supper good for you, and add salt and pepper. It was weird at first but I know I am making a good choice. Freshly squeezed lemon or lime would be good too, I'm going to try it. Some day I will have all the not so good eating habits out of mine and Toms life. :) Tom deep down loves me for it, I keep telling myself that it is because of my craziness that he has been in remission for so long, not negating the fact that the Lord had a huge hand in it as well.

Nap time

Today when putting Tommy down for his nap, he asked if I would lay with him, so I did. Morgan on the other hand, was standing at the head of the bead proceeding to tell me over and over that he didn't need a nap. I just kind of ignored him and payed attention to Tommy. I asked him to close his eyes and he would close them so tight that his entire face would be all wrinkled up. I then look up at Morgan and said Shhhh, we are trying to go to sleep. Morgan then started to sing in a whisper voice twinkle twinkle little star. It was so precious. He got through the entire song. I then kissed Tommy all over his face and left the room. Me and Morgan did lay down being as he was up all night hacking up a lung. He feel asleep within 15 min. Then I was off to do my homework....boring.

My day

So my typical day consists of rolling out of bed to rub Case's back to wake him up for school. Usually I have sleep in a little to long, which makes me grateful Case is a boy, making him a little less high maintenance to get ready. I get all the boys ready and then throw on some workout clothes, not even bothering to look in the mirror. My workout buddies only know me as a grunge who has makeup smeared, bead head, and mismatched P.J.'s, but that is OK. We then eat break feast. I have to bribe the boys with an additional bowl of cereal if they will eat a banna. Most of the time it works. We then get our shoes on, most of the time after asking 5 times and then becoming frustrated. I am working on the frustrated part!:) Once we are all in the car, Case and I have a practice spelling test on the way to school. He hates it but it is what helps him get 100%. Once he is dropped off, it is off to work out for a hour. We then drag our feet to the car because I am pooped. Home and in the shower, I go while the boys watch a movie of some kind. I am not usually out of the bathroom and ready for the day until 10 A.M. I know that sound crazy. After this, depending on the day, determines what I do next, laundry, shopping, cleaning, pre-school, my homework, or Mary Kay follow ups. On most normall, not crazy days, after lunch the boys and I read a book and then NAP! I wonder what life has in store for me in years to come.???

Case and Tommy's Birthday

They had a big party. Being as Tommy is only 2, we invited Case's friends from church and school. I was not expecting a lot of kids to show up but to my surprise we had about 20 kids. Case loved it and I was tired when it was done. Thank goodness for good husbands. I also took the time to make a good looking cake this year, whereas the other years Case and I would do it together and I could blame the lack of beauty due to his age and help. After his party I decided that we are going to do what Tom's family did, which is rotate years for the big parties.

This is Case at his first game!

Challice wedding

We drove a fast and furious trip to go to Challices wedding and was at first not wanting to go because I was not looking forward to the trip with the kids all crammed in the car. Nevertheless it was a wonderful trip. Challice was beautiful and we all got along. Mitch is home from his mission and is in the weird missionary transition mode. Almost everyone was there, it's hard to get everyone gathered all the time because of money and distance. I did her flowers and they turned out o.k....but if a professional would of done them, they would of been so much better. I wonder why they keep asking me to do the wedding flowers??? O-well, as long as the main characters are pleased. Dedrah, Thomas' possable future wife was there. I kind of questioned her, wanting to know what her intentions are with my brother. I really like her. Being in the Temple with the family was the most amazing experience.

Case 1st Baseball Team

So Case is on his first Baseball team, the Bulls. He has an awesome coach and a good group of boys. I never thought I would enjoy watching the game, but having my son on the team makes the world of difference. All the teams are machine pitch and because of that all the boys are required to weir a cup at all practices and games. Well we were not aware of this rule until the first game, so Tom ran to the store and got him a cup and ran across the field to give it to him. Tom said, "Case here is your cup, you need to have it on in order to play in the game." Case looks at him kind of confused and says, "what is a cup and what is this?" Tom laughed and said, "this is your cup and it goes in you undies." Case then says, "why does it go in my undies?" Tom then said, "it is  to protect your private." Case then said, "From what?" Tom then said, "The ball." When Tom made it back to me and relaid their conversation to me, we then began to joke as to how funny it would be if Tom on accident got an adults cup for Case.! So Case put it in his undies and proceeded to run to catch up with his team and was running rather funny and all throughout the game was adjusting his pants. I thought this was so funny.
